****Free Chlorine Conversion****
Elm Creek's water supplier Bluebonnet WSC will be conducting a Free Chlorine Conversion of the transmission system, temporarily converting the disinfectant used in water lines from chloramine to free chlorine Beginning April 1, 2026 and Ending April 30, 2026.
This maintenance is performed annually to maintain water quality. During this period, you may experience a temporary change in taste or odor of the water which is normal and it is safe to drink and use.
We are required to follow this annual process to properly maintain disinfectant levels. There will be routine testing and flushing of the of the water.
